Stress is inevitable and sometimes even helpful, but living in chronic stress can take a toll on the body and mind. It can result in low mood, anxiety, insomnia, a decreased capacity to learn, high blood pressure and a host of other physical and mental conditions.
A growing body of evidence supports the use of mind-body interventions as an effective way to not only cope with the stresses of life, but actually flourish. It isn't necessary to eliminate stress because it is possible to learn how to befriend it.
