Craniosacral Therapy (CST) – What is it?

The Craniosacral System is a core physiological system that comprises the soft tissue and bones of the head (cranium), the spine down to its tail end (the sacral area), and the pelvis as well as all the membranes that surround & connect these structures.  An important function of this system is the production, circulation and reabsorption of a fluid called Cerebrospinal Fluid which circulates throughout the skull and spine. The Cerebrospinal Fluid maintains the physiological environment in which your brain and nervous system develop, live and function.

The production, circulation, and reabsorption of this fluid create a rhythm called the Craniosacral Rhythm which is as important as the respiratory or cardiac rhythms and which requires the cranial bones and membranes surrounding the brain to expand and contract without tensions and restrictions.

CST is a gentle method of detection and correction of structural restrictions wherein the therapist uses delicate manual techniques to release problem areas. It helps increase physical vitality and wellbeing not only affecting structural change but also having a much wider implications, emotionally and spiritually.
In a typical session you will lie fully clothed on a comfortable treatment table.

Acutonics - Harmonic Medicine
The Acutonics Healing System is an energy-based, non-invasive treatment that is similar to acupuncture.
Precision calibrated tuning forks are applied to specific acupuncture and acupressure points to access the body's Meridian and Chakra energy systems.
The sound waves of the forks vibrate and travel deeply into the body along energy pathways, affecting human physiology and reaching places not easily accessed by traditional medicine. Applying the forks stimulates and balances the body's physical and subtle energy field to promote healing and inner harmony.
Listening to the forks speaks to us deeply by connecting with our vestibular system, within the inner ear canal, and accessing our sense of motion, balance, space, memory, and healing.

Tuning Forks - Transformational Tools for Transitional Times
Acutonics is a powerful and deeply transformational work.
It links ancient sciences and arts with modern healing methods and tools.
This holistic modality uses sound and vibration to heal the body, mind, and spirit.
At its roots, we recognize that to truly heal we must hold a unified view of the cosmos in which all things are inextricably bound and exist in relationship to one another whether it be an organ system, family system, ecosystem, or solar system.
The Acutonics system is grounded in the wisdom of 5000-year-old healing practices based on cyclic energy flowing in pathways in the body, and in elliptical and circulating fields outside the body.
The methodology is both scientific and shamanic. Harmonic Medicine aligns, re-harmonizes, and attunes the human energy fields to achieve optimal health, actualization, and wholeness.

Would you like to press the  ‘re-boot’ key on the computer of your body?  Would you like your structural integrity to be balanced?  This dynamic, soft-tissue structural therapy has great potential to do just that!  NST can create a contextual environment that facilitates re-integration of the body as a whole, through re-organization of the musculature of the body.  NST structural therapy continues to bring fantastic results for my clients with sub-acute and chronic injury/pain.  CranioSacral Therapy is applied in this session, whenever the body indicates it.  This bodywork is done fully clothed, so please wear loose, comfortable clothing.  No denim, please.  Pip, Labor & Industry, and most insurances welcome.

Deep Cures/Advanced NST                         $85

This bodywork uses Advanced Bowen Techniques for evaluating the body's triad of health:  Structure, Chemical, & Emotion.  In an ideal environment these three components are equally balanced.  From a whole body perspective, we know that structure is only a part of this, and to continue to treat only structure often leaves the body cycling through the same symptoms over and over again.  NST is used to test and treat chemical/nutritional and emotional/energetic components that may be creating blockades to your health.  Wear loose and comfortable clothing as this bodywork is done fully clothed.  No denim, please

Thai Yoga Bodywork                                 $85

Thai Yoga bodywork deeply enhances your yoga practice, while being a harmonious & therapeutic ‘dance’ between practitioner and recipient.  Realign and restore your body’s natural vitality.  Wear loose and comfortable clothing as this bodywork does not use oils or lotions, and is performed on a large mat.

Thai Foot Reflexology                                $85

Find out what all the buzz is about!  Blending traditional Thai foot & lower leg techniques with Chinese Reflexology.  The focus of this bodywork is on your ‘often forgotten but never unused tootsies.’  Stimulating and invigorating for the feet, relaxing for the overall body.  Remember to prepare for this bodywork with lots of water the day or two before and refrain from eating during the hour prior, as this bodywork is both cleansing and detoxifying for the whole body.  Wear comfortable clothing that allows access from the knee to the foot.

Sacred Relaxation Bodywork                     $85

Classic Swedish Deep Tissue, Thai, N.S.T., Acupressure, Reflexology, CranioSacral, Aromatherapy, Hydrotherapy, and Breath work are integrated to create a unique blend of healing.  Come experience deeply meditative relaxation in a restorative and sacred environment.

Jennifer Lovejoy, LMP, LAMP, CSP, KYT

Jennifer has been practicing Soma since 2008. In her private practice sheworks with both people and horses. Her fascination with how humans interact with their environment lead her to complete a BA in Human Ecology. For Jennifer, Soma is a beautiful examination of systems thinking, a model that looks at how one part effects every other part of a whole system. Whether looking at the body as a system or the universe as a system, the expression of the deep connections between the "parts" of a larger whole are the subjects of her life's study. In this exploration, Jennifer has studied yoga (and is a certified Kundalini Yoga Teacher), natural health and healing, energy work, psychology and many spiritual traditions. She is an avid horsewoman and explores the world of deep connections through her relationships with her horses and being in nature.

"I want to support my clients to witness their own brilliance, cultivate a
deep trust for themselves, and find the bravery to look at the deepest parts
of their being. I hope our work together will help shed light on how to
release resistance from within and create a knowing of what it is to live in
a healthy vibrant body. If each of us can touch this deep knowing, we can
claim an authentic life and be examples of empowered change for those with
whom we come in contact."

Soma Neuromuscular Integration is a form of deep, soft-tissue bodywork,
called Structural Integration. The intent of Soma is to affect the
structure, posture and alignment of the body by working with fascia, which
surrounds the muscles, nerves, organs and bones of the body.

-Soma works in a series of 11 sessions. In each session, one area of the
body and a specific goal for the body is addressed. Each session builds on
the one before it. We follow exactly what the body needs, in the order that
it needs it. Because of this, the mind has a chance to literally re-member
the body so that the body not only holds the work, but continues to evolve
the work long after the sessions are over.

-Soma works to unravel our habitual compensation patterns and re-educates
the body to move and function in a more energetically efficient way.

-Soma clients are engaged in the process through the use of drawing,
journaling, and self awareness activities, all aimed at making the process
and journey meaningful.

-Soma is a study of wholism, a view of the body as more than a collection of
its parts but as a dynamic and awe-inspiring system of interactions where
nothing can be isolated and separate.

Somassage

Somassage R is a highly effective stand alone treatment based on the
principles of Soma Neuromuscular Integration. It allows release of tension,
increased flexibility, promotes relaxed energy, and recognizes the body.
Somassage is a whole body therapeutic treatment that is structured around
the clients needs. The body is approached through a wholistic view, both
physically and psychologically. The client is taught to utilize movement to
aid their body in continuing the well-ness process. While this work is not
considered Structural Integration, it supports those who have been through
the structural series and is appropriate for anyone wishing to receive
effective deep tissue bodywork.

Soma Neuromuscular Integration
-Sessions are typically 1.5 to 2 hours; $135

Somassage and Treatment work
